Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Orthopedic - $1,897 per week in Maryville, TN

License: Active RN license required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: EPIC EMR experience required. Description: Shift: 3x12 Nights (18:45 - 07:15). Floating may be required based on skill set. Weekend coverage required every other weekend (may change based on need). Experience with medication systems is necessary. Preferred experience includes teaching and community hospital experience. First-time travelers are not accepted. Charge experience is preferred. Patient ratio experience: 6. Skills required include: Accessing/Managing Ports. Bariatric surgery. Blood product administration. Bowel obstruction management. Central line blood draw. Colostomy/ileostomy management/care. Feeding tube care and management. Med/Surg, MS/Tele, ortho trauma. Peripheral line care/management. PICC line management. Starting and maintaining IVs. Telemetry. Total joint replacement. Unit details: Daily census is approximately 15-20 patients. Number of beds in the unit is 30. Interdisciplinary support includes: IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. Additional requirements: Travelers must float to other units and/or campuses as needed due to census. Competencies must be demonstrated and documented for all tasks performed. Modules may be required to be completed before start. Modules will be billable and time verified upon starting the contract. Pre-assignment testing is required for all registered nurses.
