Not accepting first-time travelers; 1 year of experience in specialty is mandatory. Preferred experience includes previous charge experience. Patient ratios are typically 6:1. Experience with community hospital and med/surg is preferred. Skills required include managing ports, bariatric surgery, blood product administration, and more. Staffing support includes interdisciplinary teams like IV therapy, physical therapy, and radiology. Patient demographics include adults and geriatrics. Daily census ranges from 15-20 patients, with 30 beds available. Travelers may be required to float to other units based on needs. Compliance modules are required to be completed prior to start. Each nurse must demonstrate competencies for the tasks performed.
