Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Neurology Unit – North Carolina

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 or 48 hours per week. Patient ratio 1:6. Contract length 13-20 weeks. Every other weekend requirement (5-6 weekend shifts per contract). Block scheduling by manager.

Requirements:
  • Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license)
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • NIHSS certification preferred
  • Experience with telemetry, Med/Surg, and management of dysrhythmias
  • Proficiency in starting and maintaining IVs, peripheral line care, and non-invasive airway management
  • Experience with CVA patients and neuro-focused care preferred
  • Willingness to float to other units as needed
  • Ability to work during catastrophic events or disasters if assigned to Storm/Hurricane Team
  • Completion of pre-start online modules (8-10 hours) using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge
  • Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
