TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Wilmington, North Carolina, 28411!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (18:45 - 07:15) Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Current nursing license required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry. Traveler experience accepted, including first-time travelers. Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage them effectively. Experience with telemetry remote monitoring. Skilled in the use of rapid response/code teams. Capable of managing bowel obstructions and colostomy/ileostomy care. Experience in feeding tube care and management. Proficient in pre/post hemodialysis management and renal failure care. Knowledgeable in blood product administration. Experienced in central line blood draw and peripheral line care/management. Skilled in phlebotomy and PICC line management. Experience in starting and maintaining IVs, Heparin, and Insulin administration. Familiar with PCA and chest tube management. Skilled in BiPAP/CPAP management and high flow nasal cannula use. Able to administer oxygen and manage oxygen tanks. Knowledgeable in isolation precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE). Experienced in wound care and wound vac management. Description: The unit is seeking a registered nurse for night shifts. The nurse will manage a patient ratio of 1:6. Experience with a diverse patient population is required. The patient diagnoses include diabetes, dementia, COVID-19, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, encephalopathy, GI bleed, anemia, hip fracture, heart failure, urinary tract infections, various surgical recovery cases, renal failure, hypertension, cellulitis, and failure to thrive. The nurse may be required to float between units. The contract staff must be open to working during catastrophic events, mass casualties, or disasters. Candidates are expected to work holidays and weekends. Charge experience is preferred, along with ACLS certification. Experience in electronic documentation is a plus.
