Job Opportunity – Neuro Surgical Registered Nurse – North Carolina
Start Date: October 5, 2026
Location: Coastal North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week, night shift, 1:5-6 patient ratio, 12-16 weekend shifts per contract
Highlights:
- Neuro surgical procedures and neurological diagnoses including CVA and telemetry
- EPIC charting system with Pyxis medication management
- 13-26 week contract length options available
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response, pharmacy, and respiratory services
- Two orientation shifts on unit after hospital-based orientation
- Flexible weekend scheduling with unit discretion
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Current North Carolina or Compact state RN license
- BLS certification required; ACLS, NIHSS, and NIH stroke scale preferred
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
- Neuro experience strongly preferred
- Skills in telemetry, IV management, peripheral line care, and non-invasive airway management
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Willingness to float and participate in storm/hurricane team as needed
