Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse Supervisor
• Employment Type: Travel healthcare job
• Schedule: Part-time evenings, 2x8 or 3x8 shifts per week, every other weekend required, holidays as needed
• Shift Duration: 8-hour evening shifts
• Assignment Length: 22 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,120 - $2,230

Job Requirements

• Current New York State RN license
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in long-term care
• Supervisor or clinical lead experience overseeing multiple units required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing required; BSN preferred
• BLS certification through AHA or RQI required during clinical orientation
• CPI certification required within 90 days of hire
• Familiarity with NYSDOH requirements
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, analytical, organizational, and computer skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation of nursing units and provide clinical supervision to staff
• Support quality resident care through teaching, coaching, and active staff supervision
• Communicate unit concerns to nursing leadership and collaborate on solutions
• Make sound administrative decisions in the absence of senior leadership during off-shifts and weekends
• Partner effectively with medical staff, department managers, ancillary services, and customers
• Maintain professionalism in stressful situations and help create a positive team environment
• Model a healing environment that promotes safety, dignity, respect, and well-being
