Job Requirements

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• At least 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
• Experience with telemetry or cardiac-focused care preferred
• Ability to adapt to rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

Responsibilities

• Assess patient and family needs and develop individualized plans of care
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Provide direct nursing care, including medication administration and monitoring patient response
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans based on changing needs
• Educate patients and families on self-care, recovery, and health maintenance after discharge
• Promote safety, infection prevention, and quality improvement in daily nursing practice
• Support a healing environment through compassionate communication and emotional support
• Contribute to team success by delegating appropriately, communicating effectively, and assisting with unit workflow
