Assignment Overview

Join our MedSurg/Telemetry unit as a dedicated Travel RN. Ideal candidates will have at least two years of Med/Tele RN experience and will be providing care to patients with a variety of conditions including orthopedic and trauma, acute or chronic diseases, and post-op surgeries in a Level 1 Trauma hospital setting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform trach care, chest tube management, and IV starts
  • Operate glucomander and manage insulin and heparin drips
  • Provide wound care and post-op monitoring
  • Conduct cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation
  • Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams
  • Facilitate discharge planning and patient education

Qualifications

Required:

  • BLS certification
  • 2 years Med/Tele RN experience
  • Basic Cardiac Rhythm proficiency (EKG competency required)
  • Proficient in Level 1 Trauma Hospital skills

Preferred:

  • ACLS certification
  • National certification in Medical-surgical or Nephrology nursing
