Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to join a nephrology unit for a 13-week assignment, with the potential for extension. The role requires a commitment to work every other weekend and minimal to no requests for time off will be accepted.

Shift Details

• Shift: Day shift
• Schedule: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00)

Patient Care Responsibilities

As a Medical Surgical RN in the nephrology unit, you will be responsible for:

• Providing high-quality patient care to individuals with nephrological conditions.
• Monitoring and managing patient vital signs and responses to treatment.
• Administering medications and implementing care plans designed to address diverse medical needs.
• Collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver effective patient outcomes.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of one year of recent experience in a Medical Surgical setting is required.
• Current BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred.
• Intermediate proficiency in floor management and IV starts is required.
• Telemetry skills are preferred.
• Patient-to-nurse ratios: 1:6 or 1:7.
• Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.
• Royal blue scrubs are required (not provided).

Travelers living within 30 miles of the unit will not be accepted. For those living 31-50 miles away, a discount on the posted benefits rate will be applied.
