Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a 13-week assignment, with the potential for an extension. This position requires a commitment to working every other weekend and includes the possibility of floating to different units as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general Med-Surg nursing and the ability to take charge when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a medical-surgical setting.
• Manage patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in the EMR system (Soarian).
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to support patient outcomes.
• Assist with patient education and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification; ACLS certification is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a medical-surgical nursing role.
• Previous travel nursing experience is required.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR), specifically Soarian, is a plus.
• Must be able to work nights, with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week.
• All candidates must wear royal blue scrubs.

Additional Information

This position requires minimal to no requests for time off during the assignment period. Candidates living within a 50-mile radius will be considered, although their rate may be adjusted accordingly.
