Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our medical surgical unit. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and compassion.

Shift Details

  • Shift Length: 12 hours
  • Shift Timing: 7 AM - 7 PM
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Holidays: As needed

Unit Information

  • Unit Type: Medical Surgical
  • Number of Beds: 44
  • Staffing: 40 staff members, with patient ratios of 1:5, possibly 1:6
  • Nurse Aide Support: Yes, CNAs available at ratios of 1:8, generally 1:10
  • Emergency Medical Records: Meditech (experience preferred but not required)
  • Orientation: General orientation of 1 week, with floor-specific orientation of 2 days
  • Floating: May float to all acute care units as needed

Qualifications

  • Years of Experience: Minimum of 1 year, including 1 travel assignment
  • Required Certifications:
    • BLS (American Heart Association)
    • NIHSS certification
