RN - MedSurg/Tele | Travel | Shelby, NC

Assignment Overview

We are seeking a dedicated RN specializing in MedSurg/Tele for a travel assignment in Shelby, NC. This role involves providing high-quality care to patients within a 32-bed unit. Ideal candidates will have at least 18 months of Med/Tele RN experience and will be comfortable working with a variety of patient diagnoses including stroke and respiratory illnesses. First-time travelers are welcome.

  • Facility Type: Level 3 Trauma, Certified Stroke Center
  • Start Date: Not provided
  • Shift Details: 3x12 Nights, 0630-1900 and 1830-0700
  • Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2025 (negotiable)
  • Assignment Length: Not provided
  • Charting System: Epic
  • Local Candidate Policy: Candidates must reside 50 miles outside of home unit
  • Number of Openings: Not provided
  • Floating: Within the region and scope of practice
  • Weekend Rotation: Every other
  • Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
  • Orientation: NEO and 2 days departmental

Responsibilities

  • Provide care for patients with stroke, respiratory illnesses, and other conditions
  • Manage patient load with potential surge ratios
  • Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage non-titrating cardiac drips
  • Wound care and drain/tube management
  • Initiate PIV starts and manage central lines

Qualifications

Required:

  • 18 months Med/Tele RN experience
  • Basic Med/Tele skillset: Cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with non-titrating Cardiac drips, wound care
  • Licensure & Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
