Registered Nurse (RN) - MS/Tele

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) with a specialty in Medical Surgical/Telemetry to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent clinical skills and be prepared to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment.

Key Details

• Shift: Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00)
• Years of Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in MS/Tele
• Patient Ratio Experience: 1:5/6
• Travel Requirement: Yes, with a preference for candidates with 3 years of MS/Tele experience
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
• Float Requirement: Yes

Certifications

Required certifications:

• ACLS
• BLS
• NIHSS

Skills

Preferred skills include:

• Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Response
• Interpretation of Dysrhythmias
• Management of Dysrhythmias

Patient Diagnoses

The nurse will care for patients with various diagnoses, including:

• Sepsis
• Dementia
• Post-operative conditions
• Orthopedic issues
• Chest pain
• Rule out strokes

Work Environment

This role will involve working in a Medical Surgical/Telerhythmia Unit with centralized tele-monitoring supported by dedicated technicians. The interdisciplinary support team includes professionals from Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy.

Additional Information

• Telemetry tests will be required at the beginning of the placement.
• Successful candidates must demonstrate proficiency in arrhythmia recognition and medication management on the first day of onboarding.
• Requests for time off (RTO) must be included in the initial application.
• Attendance at all scheduled shifts is crucial; exceeding two missed shifts over a 13-week contract may lead to a review for cancellation.
