Wellspring Nurse Source is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a skilled Medical Surgical Registered Nurse with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population.

Job Details

  • Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks with the possibility of extension
  • Patient Ratios: 1:5-7
  • Call Off Policy: Limited to 2-3 call offs per contract

Qualifications

  • Education: Current RN License required
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a Medical Surgical setting required; travel experience is not necessary
  • Certifications: BCLS, NIH Stroke Scale, ACLS required

Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct patient care, including assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Administer medications and execute physician orders effectively.
  • Monitor, record, and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions.
  • Educate patients and their families regarding health care needs and outcomes.

Work Environment

Work will be conducted in a medical surgical unit utilizing Cerner as the electronic medical record system. Scrubs will not be provided; candidates are expected to supply their own.
