Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,750 - $1,840
• Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
• Schedule: Rotating days and nights every 6 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
• Holiday Coverage: Every other holiday

• Floating: Required within skill set, including floating to NICU for level II nursery care

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; pending state license accepted before start date
• At least 1 year of RN experience required
• Experience in postpartum nursing, antepartum care, couplet care, or Mother/Baby nursing preferred
• BLS and NRP required
• Epic experience required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare setting
• Comfort with floating within scope, including care for level II nursery patients
• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to postpartum, antepartum, and couplet care patients
• Support newborn care, maternal recovery, and family education
• Assist with breastfeeding support, discharge teaching, and newborn safety education
• Monitor and manage common Mother/Baby diagnoses and postpartum conditions
• Perform patient assessments, medication administration, and routine nursing interventions
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe, positive patient outcomes
• Float as needed within the scope of practice, including NICU-level nursery care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic
