ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled ICU Registered Nurse to join our team in a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) setting. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality care to patients in an intensive care environment.

Position Details

  • Work Schedule: Night shifts, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)
  • Hours per Week: Options for 36 or 48 hours per week
  • Contract Length: 13 to 26-week options available

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the LTAC ICU.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Administer medications and treatments in compliance with established protocols.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Participate in patient education and support family involvement in care decisions.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience is required.
  • Experience in Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) is preferred.
  • Neuro experience is highly beneficial.
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale are required.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and effectively prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Information

  • Weekends will require support through a call rotation among 6 to 8 staff members.
  • On-call responsibilities are scheduled after 5 PM daily and on weekends.
