Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse position in a high-volume, high-census healthcare facility. This role involves providing care for high-risk obstetric patients, including postpartum treatment and managing deliveries. The position offers flexibility with assignment lengths and shift options, requiring experienced professionals capable of handling acuity and census surges in a dynamic environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, with options for 3x12s or 4x12s per week, depending on traveler preference.
• Required Qualifications: Valid state license with a compact license in hand at submission, minimum of 2 years of recent high-acuity obstetric care experience, including Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Pitocin, Foley placement, postpartum hemorrhage management, and EPIC electronic charting system proficiency. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with JADA (Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations) and substance withdrawal management preferred.
• Additional Information: Must be comfortable managing a patient census with postpartum patients following delivery, including high-risk obstetric cases, and handling multiple deliveries (standard four couplets). Candidates should be adaptable to handle census surges and be capable of managing a fourth couplet when needed. Flexibility with holiday work (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Years Eve, New Years Day) is required.
• Travel and Assignment Details: Assignment lengths of 13 or 26 weeks, with traveler choice. Candidates must have at least 2 years of recent experience in high acuity obstetric care. The position requires working at a single Providence facility per assignment, with no more than 50 miles from the local radius.
• Other Requirements: References covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years are needed. Candidates should not directly contact facility managers unless scheduled. All scheduling requests, including time off, must be communicated during submission.
