The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in LDRP, L&D, postpartum, and newborn care. Candidates must possess a valid active compact nursing license. Certifications in BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM, and NRP are required. Float requirements will be mandated as necessary within the staffing protocols. The Nurse will manage patients in labor and delivery, including OB triage and antepartum scenarios. Candidates will be involved in special procedures, including vaginal and cesarean deliveries, circulating in the operating room, and administering blood products. Experience with adult IV starts and the management of epidural pumps and PCA pumps is essential. Familiarity with administering insulin and magnesium sulfate is preferred. Nurses will adhere to safe practices for high-risk antepartum and low-risk labor/delivery care. The role may involve effective communication with the interdisciplinary team and managing patient diagnoses such as labor and delivery, postpartum, and normal newborn care. Strong candidates will be required to provide two professional references covering the past year from individuals familiar with their skills and experience. Commitment to work during holidays as scheduled is expected. Travelers can expect to float between sister facilities as required.
