    Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 8, 10, or 13-week contracts available | Expected 36–48 hours/week

    Key Responsibilities
    • Contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills as a member of the interdisciplinary team in the provision and management of patient care on a Progressive Care / Stepdown unit
    • Manage and monitor patients requiring specialized interventions including chest tubes, femstops, trachs, continuous bladder irrigations (CBIs), drains, and central lines
    • Administer and titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitroglycerin, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban
    • Utilize the EPIC electronic medical records system for documentation and patient management
    • Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed
    • May be required to work 1–2 of 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Illinois RN license required; Iowa RN license required (or offered upon placement)
    • BLS certification (AHA) required
    • ACLS certification (AHA) required
    • Minimum 1 year of previous stepdown or PCU experience required
    • Proficiency with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, central lines, and vasoactive drip titration required
    • Must not have been employed by the facility health system within the last 12 months
    • Valid driver's license required
    • Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission date required
    • One supervisory reference required at time of submission

    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • At least one prior travel nursing contract completed
    • Experience working in a high-acuity stepdown or PCU environment with elevated patient ratios
    • Familiarity with EPIC EMR
