    Job Title

    Travel RN – Cardiac Progressive Step-Down Unit (Nights)

    Location

    Richmond, Virginia

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 25-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit with a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
    • Continuously monitor and interpret telemetry and EKG readings, responding promptly to changes in patient condition
    • Perform and assist with unit-level procedures including EKGs and peritoneal dialysis (PD)
    • Manage a fast-paced environment involving frequent admissions, discharges, transfers, and cardiac procedures
    • Communicate timely and appropriate notifications to physicians regarding patient condition changes
    • Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate and thorough documentation of patient care
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Virginia or compact state eligibility
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a PCU, IMC, or Cardiac Telemetry setting
    • Demonstrated proficiency in telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
    • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
    • Ability to thrive in a high-acuity, fast-paced unit with high patient throughput
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Strong clinical judgment with the ability to prioritize and adapt care plans in response to rapidly changing patient conditions
    • Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
    • Familiarity with Meditech EMR
