    Job Title

    Registered Nurse (RN) – IMC / PCU / Stepdown

    Location

    Omaha, NE | Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 12-Hour Shifts | Days (0630–1830) | Every Other Weekend Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 55-bed PCU unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, serving a primarily adult population
    • Monitor and manage patients with common diagnoses including CVA, TIA, shortness of breath, subdural hematoma, and weakness
    • Administer and manage common drips and medications including PCA pumps, Cardizem, and insulin
    • Perform and interpret telemetry monitoring as a required unit competency
    • Conduct hourly rounding and maintain a strong focus on patient responsiveness and experience
    • Float to medical-surgical areas as needed based on unit census and staffing demands
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN licensure
    • ACLS certification required
    • BLS certification required
    • Telemetry competency required
    • Proficiency with EPIC EMR and Alaris IV pumps
    • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience in a PCU, stepdown, or intermediate care setting
    • Familiarity with mechanical lift equipment and safe patient handling practices
    • Ability to manage a high-volume, fast-paced unit while collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary team including care managers, social workers, dieticians, and PT/OT
