    Job Title

    Registered Nurse (RN) – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

    Location

    Omaha, NE

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (6:30 PM – 6:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio on a 55-bed unit serving primarily adult patients
    • Monitor and manage patients with common diagnoses including CVA, TIA, shortness of breath, subdural hematoma, and generalized weakness
    • Administer and manage common drips and medications including PCA pumps, Cardizem, and insulin
    • Perform telemetry monitoring and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
    • Conduct hourly rounding and maintain a strong focus on patient responsiveness and experience
    • Float to medical-surgical areas as needed based on unit census and staffing needs
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN licensure in good standing
    • Current ACLS and BLS certifications
    • Telemetry competency
    • Proficiency with EPIC EMR
    • Experience with Alaris IV pumps
    • Ability to pass a required open-book skills examination with a score of 90% or higher during orientation
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience in a PCU, stepdown, or intermediate care setting
    • Demonstrated ability to manage a high-acuity patient load efficiently and collaboratively within a team-oriented unit
