    Travel RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) | Night Shift

    Location

    Chattanooga, Tennessee

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 13-Week Assignment | Onsite | Projected Start: 07/27/2026

    Key Responsibilities
    • Deliver intermediate-level care to a complex cardiac, medical, and surgical patient population including sepsis, stroke, MI, heart failure, atrial fibrillation, DKA, GI bleed, post-operative CABG, aortic valve surgery, thoracic surgery, and neurosurgery patients
    • Administer and titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips including Dopamine, Dobutrex, Nitro, Heparin, Cardizem, Lidocaine, Milrinone, Amiodarone, Cardene, Labetalol, Insulin, and Precedex
    • Perform Q6H head-to-toe assessments with full documentation in Meditech
    • Manage advanced clinical procedures including IV insertion, chest tube management, CVC management, DHT/NG placement, Foley placement, wound vac management, EKGs, DKA management, and early patient mobility
    • Utilize iMobile devices for encrypted communication with care team members and remote chart access via Patient Keeper
    • Participate in self-scheduling within unit guidelines, including a requirement of 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; travel RNs float first on a rotating basis
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN licensure (compact or Tennessee state license)
    • Minimum 2 years of RN experience
    • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
    • Proficiency in cardiac/telemetry monitoring and PCU and/or critical care experience
    • Advanced skills: IV insertion, chest tube management, DHT insertion and management, tracheostomy experience, CVC management, EKG interpretation, Foley management, and early patient mobility
    • Navy scrubs required as unit dress code
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience caring for post-cardiac surgery patients transitioning from ICU to intermediate care
    • Familiarity with Meditech documentation system and Phillips telemetry equipment
    • Experience with iMobile or similar mobile clinical communication and documentation platforms
    • ICU background in addition to PCU experience
