Description:
The RN position involves delivering highly individualized care to complex patients in a progressive care setting.
Patient populations include cardiac, medical, and surgical patients requiring intermediate care.
This includes patients with conditions such as sepsis, stroke, myocardial infarction, heart failure, atrial fibrillation, and other critical issues.
The role requires performing comprehensive head-to-toe assessments every six hours and thorough documentation of each assessment.
Common medications administered include Dopamine, Dobutrex, Nitro, Heparin, and others, with titration of Precedex as needed.
Additional responsibilities may involve management of Foley catheters, wound vacs, patient ambulation, and daily activities.
Self-scheduling is available within reasonable limits, ensuring balanced staffing.
Weekend shifts are required three times in a four-week schedule.
RNs will float based on staffing needs, with an emphasis on teamwork and collaboration.
Advanced technology is utilized, including mobile devices for communication and documentation.
