    Job Title

    Travel RN – Cardiac Step Down (IMC/PCU/Stepdown)

    Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Projected Start: September 7, 2026

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Cardiac Step Down unit with a patient ratio of 5–6:1
    • Perform and document telemetry application, acknowledge and chart rhythm strips each shift
    • Manage cardiac drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Amiodarone
    • Perform and assist with unit procedures including chest tube management, wound vac management, and ad lib EKGs
    • Conduct bedside and hourly rounding utilizing the 5P framework; communicate patient needs to PCT staff at shift start and throughout the shift
    • Adhere to NO PASS ZONE policy for bed alarms, call lights, and IV alarms
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Minimum 2 years of RN experience
    • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
    • NIH Stroke Scale certification required
    • Proficiency with cardiac drip management (Heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Amiodarone)
    • Experience with telemetry monitoring and rhythm strip interpretation
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience in a Cardiac Step Down, PCU, or Progressive Care setting strongly preferred
    • Familiarity with Meditech (HCA version) documentation system
    • Experience with Philips Telemetry systems and PyxisES medication dispensing
