Travel RN – Pulmonary Stepdown (IMC/PCU)

Contract | Travel | Nights | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | 13-Week Assignment | Projected Start: July 23, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 23-bed pulmonary stepdown unit with patient ratios of 1:3–4 (stepdown) and 1:4–6 (med surg)
- Manage and monitor patients requiring chest tubes, cardiac drips, stable ventilated patients, and tracheostomies
- Perform unit procedures including trach care, chest tube management, and wound dressing changes
- Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient management
- Float to other med surg and progressive care units as needed
- Adhere to weekend rotation expectations, including 6 Saturday or Sunday shifts per 6-week period
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure (or compact eligibility for North Carolina)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Experience working with tracheostomy patients is required
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience with Cerner EMR
- Background in progressive care, PCU, or stepdown nursing environments
- Demonstrated flexibility and high level of clinical competence in fast-paced settings
