# Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Schedule: Every other weekend required; standard PCU ratios of 4:1 at grid, 5:1 stretched
Highlights:- 44-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in neuro and trauma patient populations
- Comprehensive patient care including chest tubes, PCA pumps, IV infusions, lumbar drains, feeding tube placement, and blood transfusions
- Electronic Medical Records system: Cerner
- Team-oriented environment with dedicated charge nurses, registered nurses, CNAs, and unit coordinators per shift
- Equipment includes IV pumps, Skylift systems, PCA pumps, chest tubes, patient lifts, and tracheostomy care resources
- Float opportunities to stepdown and med-surg units for skill diversification
Requirements:- Active RN license in North Carolina
- ACLS certification (required)
- BLS certification (required)
- NIHSS certification (required)
- Progressive care experience with focus on neuro and trauma populations
- Proficiency in performing neuro and spinal checks, C-collar placement, TLSO bracing, and related procedures
