TravelNurseSource is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to find a qualified IMC RN in Charlotte, North Carolina, 28204!

Job Opportunity – Neuro Stepdown RN – North Carolina

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 4x12-hour night shifts (18:45 – 07:15); 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio; 3 weekend shifts required every six weeks; flexible contract lengths from 16+ weeks up to February 27, 2027

  • Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
  • 32 hours of orientation including computer training and unit-based precepting
  • Float opportunities to other intermediate areas and critical care units to expand clinical experience
  • Contract extends through the holiday season with no call requirement
  • Collaborative team environment with strong emphasis on behavioral expectations and professionalism

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience with neuro stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC, or telemetry background strongly preferred
  • Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be accepted
  • Active NC or Compact RN license
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS (CCRN, TNCC, and CPI preferred)
  • Epic charting experience required; must pass EKG testing prior to start
  • Demonstrated competency in titrating vasoactive drips (Levophed), cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and ventilated patient care
  • Extensive experience with neurological conditions including CVA, traumatic brain injury, craniotomy, intracranial bleeds, seizure disorders, spinal cord injury, and post-neurosurgery care
  • Proficiency with critical care skills including central line management, blood product administration, chest tubes, tracheostomy care, arterial blood gas interpretation, and wound care
  • Experience with IV insulin protocols, heparin protocols, PCA pumps, thrombolytic agents, and cardiac drip titration
  • Strong adherence to attendance policies and professional behavioral standards
