Schedule:

12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15). Flexible contract lengths available from 16+ weeks through February 2027. Patient ratio 1:4 with 24-bed unit capacity. Weekend requirement: minimum of 3 weekend shifts every six weeks. No call required.

Requirements:

• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
• Neurological stepdown experience strongly preferred; limited neuro experience will be reviewed on case-by-case basis
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Epic EMR experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required; CCRN, TNCC, and CPI preferred
• Must pass EKG competency testing prior to start date
• Proficiency in titrating vasoactive drips including Levophed
• Strong clinical skills in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, ventilator care, critical drips, and advanced neurological assessments
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, insulin protocols, blood product administration, central line management, chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP, tracheostomy care, and wound management
• Competency in caring for patients with feeding tubes, continuous bladder irrigation, lumbar drains, and post-TPA protocols
• Ability to float to other intermediate and critical care units as needed
• Commitment to strict attendance policy and professional behavioral expectations
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
