Job Summary:

This position involves working with a mix of med-surg, telemetry, and cardiac acuity level patients, including neuro and cerebrovascular accident (CVA) cases. The assignment is designed to support staffing needs during the holiday season, with a focus on contributing to a culture of support and education within a teaching environment. The start date is October 19, 2026, and the assignment concludes on January 16, 2027.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Certify current VA or Compact licensure, active nursing license, at least 2 years of recent relevant experience, and prior charge experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Cerner electronic medical record experience.
  • Additional Information: Orientation occurs every other Monday. Prior travel experience is required; the unit has limited RTO options, and client can cancel up to 36 hours before each assignment due to census changes. Travelers will encounter students and new hires often, contributing to a supportive culture. The patient population includes a variety of acuity levels with neuro and CVA patients, requiring a flexible and experienced nurse.
