    Contract | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Uses the nursing process to provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient outcomes in relation to established goals.
    • Collects and reports critical data relevant to patient condition to the physician in a timely manner, and assesses appropriate lab and diagnostic findings.
    • Documents findings of physical assessment and identifies abnormal findings; develops individualized plans of care based on patient need.
    • Advocates on behalf of patients and their families while maintaining open communication with nursing management and demonstrating a professional demeanor with all team members.
    • Performs interventions according to patient need and facility policy, adhering to all safety guidelines.
    • May float to additional units including CCU and Emergency Department as needed.
    Required Qualifications
    • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
    • Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
    • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU and Emergency Department experience.
    • Current BLS provider certification from the American Heart Association.
    • Current ACLS provider certification from the American Heart Association.
    • Current PALS provider certification from the American Heart Association.
    • Current TNCC certification.
    • NIHSS Certification.
    • Moderate Sedation Certification.
    • Ability to work every other weekend.
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Cardiac catheterization experience preferred.
    • Experience floating to varied acute care units such as CCU or Emergency Department.
