Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care in Seattle, WA

Key Responsibilities Float across a high acuity float pool encompassing Critical Care, Observation, Med/Surg, General Surgery, Ortho Surgery, Short Stay Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Oncology, Telemetry, and Progressive Care units. Key Responsibilities

• Float across a high acuity float pool encompassing Critical Care, Observation, Med/Surg, General Surgery, Ortho Surgery, Short Stay Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Oncology, Telemetry, and Progressive Care units
• Manage patient assignments with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1–2 in critical care settings and up to 1:3 based on acuity and transfer orders, in alignment with AACN CCU staffing standards
• Titrate vasoactive and sedation drips including Epinephrine, Norepinephrine, Dobutamine, Propofol, Esmolol, Hydromorphone, Midazolam, and CIS
• Operate and monitor respiratory therapy equipment including ventilators, high-flow oxygen, BiPAP, and CPAP
• Read and interpret cardiac monitor strips using Philips monitoring systems alongside monitor technician support
• Care for a diverse patient population including medical, surgical, neurological, and cardiac diagnoses

Required Qualifications

• Active Washington State RN license or valid Compact RN license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience; high acuity experience strongly required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Prior float pool or multi-unit floating experience required (float pool shifts, cross-facility, or floating to other floors/units)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with device management (may be checked off for device assignments if recent and comfortable)
• Familiarity with Cerner documentation systems
• Experience caring for neuro and cardiac patient populations in an acute or critical care environment
