Job Description:
We are seeking experienced ICU RNs for a 10-bed ICU/21-bed PCU unit on a 13-week travel contract. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 2:1 (ICU) and 3:1 (PCU) under normal circumstances, with 3:1 ICU / 4:1 PCU during stretch staffing. Common diagnoses include COVID, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, sepsis, and DKA. RNs must be comfortable managing ventilated patients, cath lab recovery, and therapeutic hypothermia, along with titrating drips such as sedation (Propofol, Versed, Fentanyl, Precedex), pressors (Levophed, Epinephrine, Vasopressin, Dopamine, Dobutamine), diuretics, insulin, and Amiodarone.
