    TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 19140!

    Job Title

    RN – ICU (ICU Boarder / Emergency Department)

    Location

    Philadelphia, PA | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3 × 12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week | Sunday night through Thursday night scheduling pattern

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide inpatient-level critical care nursing to admitted patients boarding in the Emergency Department while awaiting transfer to an inpatient bed
    • Manage a patient ratio of up to 2:1, including patients with ventilators, vasoactive infusions, and other high-acuity critical care needs
    • Collaborate with ED physicians, hospitalists, ICU teams, and inpatient services to support patient safety, throughput, and continuity of care
    • Operate within an ED boarder care model; not expected to take regular ED patient assignments
    • May be required to temporarily provide care in another unit within clinical competency if departmental or organizational needs change
    • Communicate clearly with interdisciplinary teams and maintain a commitment to patient safety and quality care
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
    • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
    • Recent critical care experience required
    • Local applicants are welcome
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Competency with ventilator management and vasoactive drips
    • Experience caring for high-acuity patients in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to work independently and adapt to a dynamic clinical setting
    • Strong teamwork and flexibility across interdisciplinary care teams
