Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an intensive care unit setting with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio and an average daily census of 44
- Deliver high-acuity nursing care during night shift hours, maintaining patient safety and clinical standards throughout each shift
- Participate in every-other-weekend coverage as part of standard scheduling expectations
- Be available to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's) based on departmental needs and fair staff rotation
- In the event of an emergency, be prepared to serve on an emergency response or relief team as directed by unit management until the event has passed
- Complete required facility modules during orientation, which are factored into orientation hours
Required Qualifications
- Active Compact or Louisiana RN license — must be in hand at time of submittal
- Minimum 2 years of experience in ICU specialty required; first-time travelers will not be accepted
- Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS — AHA-issued certifications required
- NURSYS report must be submitted with profile and must be current (within 4 weeks of submission date)
- 2 Manager or Supervisor references required prior to start (Charge RN references are not acceptable); references must be submitted in PDF format
- Must live more than 65 miles from the facility (as measured from the address on the driver's license to the facility address) to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course) certification preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred, as the unit does not accept first-time travelers
