    Registered Nurse – ICU

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in an ICU setting with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio and an average daily census of 44
    • Deliver high-acuity nursing care during night shifts, including assessment, intervention, and ongoing monitoring of critically ill patients
    • Participate in every-other-weekend coverage rotation as required by departmental scheduling needs
    • Be available to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's) based on departmental needs and fair staff rotation
    • In the event of an emergency, be prepared to serve on an emergency response or relief team as assigned by the unit manager until the event has passed
    • Complete all required facility modules during orientation as part of onboarding
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Compact or Louisiana RN license — must be in hand at time of submittal
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in ICU specialty required; first-time travelers will not be accepted
    • Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS — AHA certifications specifically required
    • NURSYS report must be submitted with profile and must be current (within 4 weeks of submission date)
    • 2 Manager/Supervisor references (in PDF format) required prior to start — Charge RN references are not acceptable
    • Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (as measured from the address on file with the driver's license to the facility address) to be eligible
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course) certification preferred
    • Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred, as the unit does not accept first-time travelers
    • Familiarity with high-acuity ICU environments and emergency response protocols
