Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 17 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: New York license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - Charge experience preferred - Experience with Epic charting system required - Patient ratio experience of 2-3 - Must be within a 75-mile radius Description: Must have New York license in hand. Weekend shifts required every other weekend. Floating to other units may be required. Charge experience is highly preferred. First-time travelers may be considered. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience. Experience in a Medical Intensive Care Unit is preferred. Candidates must meet experience requirements. Candidates will be required to manage various acute patient conditions. Skills needed include arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, and emergency medications. Knowledge in interpretation of dysrhythmias and isolation precautions is essential. Ability to perform phlebotomy and manage PICC lines is necessary. Experience in procedural sedation administration and monitoring is a plus. The patient demographic includes adults and generally has a daily census of around seven. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.
