Description:

Registered Nurse – Float Pool (Nights)Shift Details
  • Full Time
  • 3x12 Night Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
  • Every other weekend required
  • Holiday rotation required
  • 2 On-Call shifts required per 4-week period
  • Must be able to float between Med/Surg, ICU, and ED units across two locations
Licensure
  • Currently licensed by NYS as a Registered Professional Nurse
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
Required Certifications
  • BLS – through AHA or RQI system (required during clinical orientation)
  • ACLS – through AHA or RQI system (required during clinical orientation)
  • PALS – through AHA or RQI system (required during clinical orientation)
  • NIHSS – required
  • Basic Coronary Care – required within 6 months of hire
  • CPI Certification – required within 90 days of hire
Preferred Certifications
  • Certification by the Emergency Nurses Association – recommended within 2 years of hire
  • TNCC – recommended within 2 years of hire
Experience
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, or Critical Care units
  • Must be cross-trained and comfortable floating to ICU, ED, Med/Surg, and Med/Surg Telemetry units
  • Critical care experience required
