Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in ICU License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BCLS, ACLS required Must-Have: Epic experience required EKG interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required Description: The role requires managing critically ill patients in an Intensive Care Unit. Nurses are responsible for providing care to adult patients with complex medical conditions. The average daily census is approximately 21 patients, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2. Candidates must have experience in multi-system organ failure management. The position involves arterial line management, central line care, and blood product administration. Nurses will also be required to manage ventilated patients and administer procedural sedation. Infection prevention practices and the use of personal protective equipment are essential. Floating to different service lines within the facility may be required. Candidates should possess strong critical thinking skills and be comfortable working independently. Teaching experience and willingness to mentor new staff are preferred attributes. No on-call requirement for this position. Travelers must be flexible and adapt to unit needs as necessary. Nurses will be required to chart using the EPIC system. Weekend shifts are mandatory every other weekend. Candidates must pass an EKG exam prior to start. This is a first-time traveler-friendly position.
