Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $2,264 per week in Saint Louis, MO

We need strong, independent experienced nurses to float in our ICUs. If there are no ICU needs, nurses will float to inpatient floors as staff nurses. The ratio of patients to nurses is 2:1 in ICUs for all shifts. Nurses will float to inpatient floors when necessary with a ratio of no more than 1:3. Floating to non-critical care units may occur if the census is low in the ICU. Nurses may also be asked to act as patient sitters if needed. There is an expectation for every other weekend shifts or six weekend shifts per six-week schedule, plus a holiday rotation. Strong skills related to ventilator management, IV starts, and conscious sedation are required. Experience with swan hemodynamic interpretation, IABP, Impella, ECMO, and vasoactive drips is preferred. CRRT experience is beneficial, and other preferred skills include chemo administration, trauma care, and triage. Adolescents are rare in these units but may present as adult-sized patients aged 16-18. Candidates should be prepared to float within the service line as necessary. Those with first-time travel experience will not be accepted.
