Key Responsibilities of the ICU Registered Nurse

• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Provide arterial line and central line care/management
• Manage continuous IV sedation and titrate cardiac/drips
• Care for ventilated patients, including interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Apply isolation precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE)

Requirements of the ICU Registered Nurse

• Current NY State RN license
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience
