Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active Registered Nurse license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required; PALS and TNCC preferred Must-Have: Experience working in a critical care setting Description: This position requires a highly skilled Registered Nurse to provide care in a fast-paced ICU environment. The unit has 20 beds with an average daily census of 16-17 patients. The ICU manages a variety of patient types, including those recovering from procedures. There are no open heart surgeries performed on this unit. Nurses will work alongside a Charge Nurse who is present 24/7. Staffing ratios in the ICU are typically 1:1 to 1:2, and 1:3 for Stepdown patients. The unit is equipped with the latest monitoring technology, and RNs will manage standard IV drips and ventilators. There is a dedicated respiratory therapy team available 24/7, along with in-house pharmacy support. Nurses are required to be fully vaccinated, with options for medical or religious exemptions. A general hospital orientation will take place on the first day, followed by unit-specific training. Weekend shifts are required every other week, with holiday rotations as necessary. Scrubs are navy blue, and hair color must be natural; tattoos must be covered.
