Job Opportunity – ICU Registered Nurse – Maryland
Start Date: October 5, 2026
Location: Hagerstown, Maryland
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 36 guaranteed hours per week, 12-hour shifts, 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, every other weekend required, may float to IMC as needed
Highlights:
- Work with a diverse patient population including trauma, cardiovascular, stroke, and neuro cases in a 24-bed critical care unit
- Epic EMR system utilized across the facility
- 24 hours of comprehensive orientation provided
- Interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, physical therapy, and more
- Advanced equipment and procedures including CRRT, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and intraventricular drains
- Opportunity to work with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
Requirements:
- Active RN license in Maryland or compact state license (pending licenses accepted)
- Minimum 2-3 years of ICU nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with 1:2 patient ratios required
- Trauma Level I or Level II experience preferred
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Community hospital experience preferred
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (no exemptions)
- Proficiency in critical care skills including ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, vasoactive drip titration, arterial line management, and central line care
