Must be flexible and may be required to float to other units. Description: Critical care unit seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse. The position requires care for mixed ICU patients, including medical, surgical, trauma, and open-heart cases. Burn and ECMO patients are not accepted in this unit. The daily census is between 12 to 24 with 24 beds available. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary. The nurse will be responsible for various skills, including managing arterial lines, maintaining ventilators, and administering sedation. Experience in trauma level I and II settings is beneficial. Clinicians must have effective communication skills to ensure patient care. Daily tasks will involve monitoring patients, documenting care, and collaborating with medical staff. A drug screening is mandatory upon arrival, including testing for marijuana. All candidates should avoid any substances that could lead to a positive screening result.
