Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in service line required License: TX RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - RN - BLS - ACLS - NIH Description: Registered Nurses deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process. Nurses collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. Nurses effectively interact with patients and visitors, while maintaining the standard of professional nursing. Registered Nurses provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles. Due to the broad range of medical conditions they encounter, they must be well-versed in a wide variety of health conditions. Travelers must live 150 miles or more from the facility. May be asked to float to a different floor or campus. Accommodations for requested time off may be made if the traveler is able to work full hours around time off or only missing 1-2 shifts maximum. Clinicians must be available to complete needed lab items within 72 hours of accepting the offer or have a plan in place for completion in that timeframe. Travel experience is preferred. Charting experience preferred, but not required. The facility conducts its own drug screening upon arrival, which includes testing for marijuana. A positive result on this mandatory drug screen will result in automatic cancellation. Candidates should avoid anything that could result in a positive drug screen when they arrive onsite, including CBD products. Previous permanent staff must be gone for one year in order to return as a traveler. Modules are non-billable and average 6-8 hours. Modules are completed during orientation.
