ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Critical Care Float Pool | 8-Week Contract in Boston, MA

ICU Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470–$2,600
- Location: Boston, Massachusetts 02215
- Healthcare Setting: On-site Medical ICU and Critical Care Float Pool
- Start Date: February 1, 2027
- End Date: March 27, 2027
- Contract Duration: 8-week nursing contract
- Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts, including days and nights
- Hours: 36 hours per week; 72-hour guarantee every two weeks, excluding on-call hours
- Orientation: Weekly orientation, typically held on Mondays except holidays
ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of recent ICU or related critical care nursing experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
- Experience in a Level I trauma center or similarly high-acuity critical care environment
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Ability to work rotating 12-hour day and night shifts in an on-site hospital setting
- Time-off requests must be submitted with the application; no more than three days of requested time off may be submitted, and holiday time off is not approved
Critical Care Nursing Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult patients in Medical ICU and critical care settings
- Monitor patient conditions, identify changes in status, and initiate timely interventions
- Administer medications and therapies in accordance with clinical standards and provider orders
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Support patient care across critical care units as assigned within the float pool
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Provide education and support to patients and families throughout the continuum of care
- Promote patient safety, evidence-based practice, and high-quality patient outcomes
