Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse located in Sacramento, CA. This position involves providing specialized critical care to patients with conditions such as ARDS, Sepsis, and Chronic Ventilation, within a busy hospital setting. The role requires managing complex medication drips, interpreting EKGs, and collaborating closely with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

  • Position Description: ICU Nurse for a unit with 11 RICU beds, handling patients with diagnoses including ARDS, Sepsis, DKA, and therapeutic hypothermia. Responsibilities include line placements, intubations, and titrating various vasoactive, sedation, Heparin, and Insulin drips.
  • Certifications and Qualifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS; minimum two years of critical care experience required; active license to practice in the state.
  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM or 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: ICU pharmacy available 24/7, and unit orientation includes two shifts in Medical ICU plus additional in Trauma, Neuro, or Surgical ICUs. May float to CSICU within scope to all Sacramento facilities.
