Job Requirements

• 2 years preferred
• Current RN license in New Mexico or compact state eligibility; pending compact license accepted if obtained prior to start
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Experience caring for adult critical care patients and high-acuity diagnoses
• Ability to work night shifts and rotating weekends
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
• Epic experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and skilled care to adult ICU patients
• Monitor and manage patients with complex conditions such as ARDS, sepsis, CHF, DKA, GI bleeds, and post-op complications
• Provide nursing care for ventilated patients, patients on cardiac drips, and those requiring CRRT/HD support
• Perform and assist with critical care interventions including arterial line management, central line care, blood product administration, and ventilator management
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support positive patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow established ICU protocols
• Float to like units within scope as needed based on facility needs
• Support a patient-centered environment with professionalism, adaptability, and attention to detail
