Registered Nurse - PCU Float

We are looking for a skilled RN to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Float team. In this dynamic position, you will deliver exceptional, patient-centered care to intermediate-acuity patients, many of whom are transitioning from intensive care settings. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide flexible, high-quality nursing care across multiple PCU and step-down units, adapting seamlessly to different patient populations and unit workflows based on daily census and staffing needs.
• Deliver comprehensive care to intermediate-acuity patients, including telemetry monitoring, IV medication administration, respiratory support, and other vital interventions.
• Demonstrate proficiency with unit-specific equipment, electronic medical record (EMR) documentation, and effective communication with charge nurses during rotating assignments.
• Serve as a clinical resource for permanent staff by modeling adaptability, fostering teamwork, and adhering strictly to evidence-based protocols.
• Quickly assess patient needs, prioritize effectively, and respond decisively in a dynamic hospital environment.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in progressive care, step-down, or similar intermediate-acuity settings; previous float pool or multi-unit experience preferred.
• Current and valid Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) certification is a plus.

Shift & Schedule:

• Night shift (3x12-hour shifts): 7:00 PM – 07:30 AM
