Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of overall acute care nursing experience
• At least 1 year of recent PCU nursing experience required
• Current acute care experience within the last 12 months
• BLS and ACLS required
• NIHSS preferred
• Travel nursing experience required
• Experience using Epic required
• Strong clinical background in telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, and Progressive Care Unit-level nursing care
• Must be comfortable working rotating days and nights based on unit needs

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with acute leukemia and hematology-related diagnoses
• Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer blood products, IV antibiotics, electrolytes, and other ordered therapies
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, peripheral IVs, and ports as needed
• Support infection prevention protocols and patient safety initiatives, including fall prevention
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including pharmacy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams
• Float to other MedSurg Oncology units as needed
• Document accurately and efficiently in Epic while maintaining high standards of patient care
